uconn cares logoUConn Cares is a celebration of Husky pride and spirit through volunteering in your local community.

For the month of April, join alumni, friends, and families to get involved in community service with your local alumni network. Big or small, volunteering comes in all sizes, so be a champion for whatever cause needs your support.

UConn Cares is a celebration of Husky pride and a commitment to serving others. UConn alumni make a direct impact by joining together to volunteer for causes that are meaningful and beneficial to their own communities. Look at what we've accomplished together
Hunger: we're committed to fighting hunger; we've made over 19,759 meal contributions! 629 meals served; 23,711 pounds of food sorted; 360 bags of groceries assembled
Environment: it was good, clean fun getting our hands dirty to help keep our communities green! 50 gardens planted; 13.2 acres cleared; 75 trees mulched; 210 plants planted
People: lending a hand to our neighbors: 120 special olympic athletes assisted, 300 pairs of shoes sorted, 1000 pieces of clothing sorted, 40 blankets made for cancer patients
People: we had a blast with our fellow Huskies making toys for our furry friends living in shelters! 46 pet toys made
thank you to all of our volunteers

We’re always looking for new ideas and helpful hands to assist with planning future UConn Cares events. Do you have an idea or a volunteer opportunity? Fill out the form below to let us know more about what you’d like to do and we’ll help make it happen.
