Dr. Paul Tortland ’81 (CLAS), ’84 MA

Dr. Paul Tortland ’81 (CLAS), ’84 MA, a specialist in sports medicine, non-surgical orthopedics, and regenerative medicine/orthobiologics for over 22 years, opened the New England Stem Cell Institute in April 2018 in Glastonbury, CT, to provide stem cell and orthobiologic treatments for patients. Dr. Tortland was the first physician in Connecticut to begin perform regenerative medicine treatments, including stem cell and platelet-rich plasma injections. An internationally recognized leader in the field of orthobiologics, Dr. Tortland recently was among a set of distinguished faculty teaching at the 9th annual meeting of The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) in Las Vegas.
