Spend four nights in Florence at the deluxe Hotel Villa Medici
- Visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David, and the Uffizi Gallery, with advanced reservations
- Enjoy a walking tour of Florence tasting local specialties, including schiacciata, crostini, bruschetta, salami, prosciuto, pecorino cheese, rice & apple fritters, and, of course, delectable gelato!
- Visit la Scuola del Cuoio, the leather school, where you can have a custom jacket made (one of our travelers has done this twice, and the outcome is exquisite!)
- Visit villages in the charming Tuscan countryside with bucolic, soft rolling green hills, picture perfect, fairytale villages, hilltop castles and architectural masterpieces
- Enjoy a "Homecoming" in Florence, where we will gather at the Palazzo Rucellai, our UConn campus, for a reception with UConn alumni living in the region, and our UConn study abroad students
Travel south to Rome and spend four nights at the deluxe Hotel de la Minerve, located next to the Pantheon
- Tour Ancient Rome with a private guide and Baroque Rome with a Count
- Enjoy a private after hours Vatican tour
- Enjoy drinks and appetizers while we visit with one of our alums, Robert Bolzoni and his wife, Micaela, at their home
