My roommate and I painted the rock on the occasion of her boyfriend’s birthday

Pictured is the rock and the boyfriend (Joe Pendleton, class of 70). Painters were myself (class of 72) and Marsha Okay (class of 70.)

I think this was taken in 1973 when we'd all graduated but were living in Storrs and able to do the painting in the summertime. There was also less competition for "the Rock" at that time of year!!

Glad to hear that this piece of history will once again be gracing the campus
