What features of the Husky Alumni Network are available for students? What features are available for alumni?
Alumni have access to all of the Husky
Alumni Network services. Students have access based on their semester.
Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors can connect with alumni through the
Career Network. See the chart below for a complete list of access rights.

Who can sign upfor the Husky Alumni Network?
Only UConn students and alumni can
automatically sign up for the Husky Alumni Network. Special accounts
may be granted to staff and other University-related parties on a
case-by-case basis, by request only.

I signed up for an online alumni community
through the UConn Alumni Association before. How is this different? Do
I have to sign up again?
The previous online alumni community, which
included services such as the Online Directory and Class Notes, has
been expanded to include new and improved services, such as Permanent
Email and the Career Network, which is now called the Husky Alumni
Network. This is the same online alumni community that you are used to,
except with more features and a new name. Users who have previously
signed up for the UConn Alumni Association’s online community before
it was called the Husky Alumni Network do not need to do so again.

I signed up for the Business Alumni Network through the School of Business. Do I have to sign up again?
No, users for the Business Alumni Network are also registrants of the Husky Alumni
Network. All of your log-in information and personal data are shared
between the two systems.

I am an Alumni Association member, but I am not a UConn student or alum. Can I sign up for the Husky Alumni Network?
An Alumni Association member must also be an
alum to be able to access the Husky Alumni Network. Special account
access may be available by request on a case-by-case basis by

I should be able to sign up for the Husky Alumni Network, but I am unable to. Why?
If you are an incoming student looking to
take advantage of the Career Network, you will not be able to do so
until mid- to late-September when your records are updated to reflect
your status.
If you attended UConn but did not graduate,
you may not be in our system. Please send your current name, name as a
student, email address, dates attended, School or College information,
and any other pertinent information to

If you are a graduate from the UConn School
of Law, you will have to request special access to the Husky Alumni

I signed up for the Husky Alumni Network, but I don’t have access to all of the features. Why?
If you are currently a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior, you will only have access to the Career Network.
If you are a junior who wants to access the
full Husky Alumni Network, you will not be able to do so until mid- to
late-September when your records are updated to reflect your status.

How do I sign up for the Husky Alumni Network?
- Go to UConnAlumni.com/HAN
- Click on the Sign-up link located in the grey Sign In box.
- Enter your name and class year in the registration boxes provided.
- Select your name when it appears.
- Enter your unique Security Info (ID Number) in the box provided.
- Click on the Verify My Record link validation button.
- Create a User ID and password for all future use of the Husky Alumni Network.

What are the guidelines for choosing a User ID?
Your User ID must be at least five
characters long and contain only alpha-numeric characters. Choose your
User ID carefully; it will also be applied to your Permanent Email
username.

What is my security ID? How do I get it?
When you are asked for your Security Info (ID Number), you will also see a link to a form to request this information. Fill out this form, and a representative will email you with your Security Info (ID Number).
You can also find your Security Info (ID
Number) listed on the bottom of any email communications sent from the
UConn Alumni Association.
Your Security Info is also listed on your Alumni Association membership card. Please include all 10-digits.
