Mission Statement
The mission of the AAAC is to promote the interest of the University of Connecticut Alumni Association, while providing support and serving as an advocate for students of African descent matriculating through the University.
African American Alumni Council Scholarship Fund
The AAAC has set up the African American Alumni Council Scholarship Fund through the UConn Foundation. The fund will be used to provide scholarship support for University students who meet certain criteria including: earning a minimum of 24 credits or completing similar progress toward a degree; and demonstrating academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. Gifts directed to the African American Alumni Council Scholarship Fund will support the Campaign for UConn.
Think about how UConn made a difference in your life. Then consider giving back, to enable the next generation of Huskies to make the world a better place. Every gift – big or small – makes a difference!
