African American Alumni Council

ph-aacc-homecomingThe mission of the African American Alumni Council (AAAC) is to promote the vision of the University of Connecticut Alumni Relations, while advocating on behalf of the University’s alumni and students of African descent. Our goals include:

  • Increasing the number of active alumni
  • Providing opportunities to volunteer and foster student development
  • Strengthening student relationships with the University

The AAAC empowers and mentors students of African descent. They encourage students to utilize University resources, such as the Center for Career Development, alumni relations services, and Student Services. The AAAC also holds alumni-student events and sustains an endowed scholarship {link to scholarship fund}.
