Family Weekend, which runs from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, is an opportunity for our UConn families to visit (or revisit) campus and feel the energy that comes with a new semester.

Parents and siblings can join students for events at the Rainbow Center, PRLACC, and Hillel, as well as a performance by the UConn Marching Band, delicious ice cream at the Dairy Bar, and the annual Cornucopia Fest.

That Saturday, Oct. 1, the Alumni Center will also host families who bleed blue at the third annual Legacy Breakfast. Alumni parents, grandparents, and siblings of current UConn students can celebrate their legacy together, share memories, and enjoy a buffet breakfast. We’ll also have remarks from Mo Cotton Kelly, associate vice president of alumni relations at the UConn Foundation.

“The Legacy Breakfast is our way of honoring the many families who love UConn and are passing down their Husky pride and spirit to the next generation,” said Kelly. “We’ll be introducing some new elements to this year’s event to recognize this special group, who are such an essential part of UConn Nation.”
